nice job! i think i'll give it it a try for mine. got a coolant seal fail last summer was litle afraid of doing a rebuild myself.
ReplyDeletebtw you should get a Powerfc w/ comander asap. not cheap but probly the best thing you could offer to your car to keep it in better shape and it do the job to monitor engine sensors (air temp, water temp, RPM, boost pressure, knock sensor, oxygen sensor, injector duty...) in 1 place.
Shaeron,
ReplyDeleteI actually am using the APEXi PowerFC with the FC Commander. This just happened to be installed by the the previous owner before I bought the car. Unfortunately however, he was more interested in horsepower rather than reliability which probably is what led me to this rebuild in the first place. In any case, I am extremley happy I decided to rebuild this motor on my own. I now feel I have the knowledge to maintain this car for as long as I own it, so it all worked out in the end. BTW, good luck on your rebuild if you choose to go through with it!

ReplyDeleteYea that why i want to rebuild mine too so i get better knowledge of all the internal.
I just Don't know where to start.
You think you could give a list of all the tool you needed for the rebuild ? would help a lot to get everything ready.
